Questions
- Where do channels come from?
- From you. Relay Player has no channels of its own. Add an M3U playlist link in Settings → Add Playlist, or play a single link with Open Link. Use sources you have the right to watch.
- Which formats play?
- Everything iPhone plays natively: HLS (
.m3u8) and MP4. RTMP, MKV, protected (DRM) streams and paid services are not supported. - Why doesn't Relay Player appear in my car?
- CarPlay shows video apps only in cars that support video in CarPlay, with iOS 26.4 or later. In other cars the app is not listed.
- Why did the video stop while driving?
- The car decides when video may show, usually only while parked. When it hides the video, the sound keeps playing.
- How do I get the TV guide?
- The TV guide is part of Pro. If your playlist names an XMLTV guide, it loads automatically. Otherwise long-press a playlist in Settings and choose TV Guide Source….
- What does Pro include?
- More than one playlist, the TV guide and iCloud sync. It is a one-time purchase. CarPlay, links, favorites and recents are free.
- I bought Pro on another device.
- Open Settings → Relay Player Pro and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.
- iCloud sync shows an error.
- Make sure you are signed in to iCloud and Relay Player is allowed to use iCloud (Settings → your name → iCloud → Saved to iCloud). Playlists, favorites and recents sync; channel lists download on each device.
